3 arrested in connection with Rock Hill homicide

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Rock Hill Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the October 26 murder of Justin Penland. 

According to police, officers responded to a call around 9 p.m. on Oct. 26 involving a car accident in the 2300 block of Eden Terrace. Upon arriving at the scene, police found the driver had suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim, 26-year-old Justin Penland, was transported to CMC Main for treatment but died.

On Thursday, police arrested Isaiah Hemphill, who is facing charges related to the incident including murder and attempted robbery.

Donovan Allen and Shaun Welte are charged with attempted robbery, accessory after the fact and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. 

The suspects face bond hearings on Thursday afternoon.
