CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are working on their first homicide investigation of 2009. Officers found a man dead in his neighbor's driveway late Friday night. Investigators say, he was trying to get help after being shot. It happened just after 11 p.m. along McGarry Trail. Witnesses say they saw two men and one woman running from the home following the shooting.

The victim's name will be released after the family has been notified. Police are working to find a motive.
