Man lures children into home

CONCORD, N.C. -- A Concord man is accused of luring children to his house and then sexually assaulting them.

Brian James Hussey faces numerous charges, including statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child.

Cabarrus County sheriff's deputies went to question Hussey after the parents of two children contacted them.

The parents alleged that Hussey lured the children, ages 4 and 6, out of their yard and into his home, where he sexually assaulted them.

When deputies arrived at Hussey's home, they said he barricaded himself inside and slashed his wrist.

He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast where he was treated and released.

Hussey is being held in Cabarrus County Jail on $200,000 bond.
