07:19 AM EDT on Monday, May 12, 2008
SHELBY, N.C.-- A Shelby church moves forward after a bizarre crash damages it. The North Lafayette Street Baptist Church held its normal service Sunday morning. But this time ... Parishioners had to enter through the side door. There is still significant damage at the front entrance. Troopers say Wednesday night, Thomas George drove drunk and rammed his truck into the building. The crash caused at least $100,000 in damages. We're told it could take a month to finish repairs.
