| Recommended Man charged with manslaughter in shooting 1:23 PM

SHELBY, N.C. -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday night at a Shelby apartment complex.
It happened at 9:48 p.m. in the Ramblewood Apartments. Police say 35-year-old Jerry Lawrence was shot in the chest and taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Shelby police say they have charged 20-year-old Brian O'Neal Black with voluntary manslaughter.
