CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A serial bank robber known as the "Bearded Bandit" has struck again in Charlotte.

The man -- who wears a wig, fake facial hair, makeup, glasses, hat, gloves and padded suit -- robbed the Bank of Granite on Sharon Road Friday morning.

It is the 11th robbery linked to the Bearded Bandit. Before Friday, the last robbery linked to the man was at a Wachovia on Nov. 25, 2008.

The FBI has been investigating the robber for two years.

Before Friday's robbery, investigators were unsure of the man’s ethnicity because he uses facial makeup to disguise his features. However, a witness at the Bank of Granite said part of the man's skin was exposed, revealing that he is white.

The Bearded Bandit has used a weapon in all of the robberies, but no one has been injured. The FBI considers him to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at 704-377-9200 or CrimeStoppers at 704-334-1600.
