Body discovered in Gastonia home, arrest made

GASTONIA, N.C.-- A landlord made a gruesome discovery Saturday morning when he discovered the dead body of one of his tenants. Gastonia Police say a white male in his 40’s was found this morning in a home on Clyde Street in Gastonia. They believe he had been killed on Wednesday of this week. The man had multiple gun shot wounds as well as blunt force trauma to his head. Police have arrested 39-year-old Fred Antonia Harrison of Gastonia and have charged him with First Degree Murder and Armed Robbery. Police say Harrison was an acquaintance of the victims. Harrison is currently being held in the Gaston County Jail. Police have not identified the victim, pending family notification.
