CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A backdoor cold front will move across the region this morning bringing cooler air to the Carolinas.

The winds will turn to the northeast and temperatures will be near average in the mid-70s.

Tonight into Wednesday more clouds and even drizzle will start to develop as warmer and more humid air rides up and over the cooler surface air. The moisture will slowly increase through Wednesday and by Thursday showers will be on and off throughout the day. Temperatures will cool both day with highs temperatures only in the 60s.
