Charlotte gas stations subpoenaed for questionable pricing after hurricane
12:13 PM EDT on Saturday, November 1, 2008
Many Charlotte drivers were wondering if there was any price gouging going on following Hurricane Ike. Now the court system has validated those concerns. The attorney general's office slapped Circle-K with a subpoena Friday for its 10 stations in the Charlotte area.
Customers say they paid as much as $5.29 a gallon at those stores back in September.
Two other stations in North Carolina are refunding customers for overpriced gas.
