CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- The NASCAR Hall of Fame project is on time and on budget, project officials said Friday.

There is one stumbling block though -- right now they do not have any sponsorship in place.

Over the next five years, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is looking at raising $25 million to $30 million in sponsorship. That money will help repay bank loans for the project, but so far, no one has come forward.

The executive director of the Hall of Fame is anticipating that someone will come forward by next year. Hall of Fame mangers are also re-assessing attendance estimates, which may have an impact on the financial stability of the project.
