CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One man is dead and a second is injured after a fight broke out at a home in east Charlotte early this morning.

Julius Thompson, 19, was shot and killed. Melvin McCall, 27, was shot and seriously injured.

It happened at a home on Great Wagon Road just off Shamrock Drive in east Charlotte.

Police say Thompson was visiting McCall's home when they got into an altercation and ended up shooting each other.

McCall is listed in serious condition at Carolinas Medical Center.
