Uptown construction fire under investigation

Officials are investigating after a fire started at the top of a building that's under construction in uptown.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Fire officials are investigating after a fire started in a building under construction in uptown Charlotte Tuesday.

According to Charlotte Fire, emergency crews responded to a reported fire in the 300 block of West Martin Luther King Boulevard around 4 p.m. Charlotte Fire says the fire was extinguished by workers before their crews arrived on the scene.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
