Woman, 88, dies in hospital after crash in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. -- An 88-year-old woman died at the hospital on Sunday from injuries she sustained in a crash in Gastonia on Saturday.

The Gastonia Police Department says 88-year-old Mildred Ferguson Moore died at Caromount Regional Medical Center on Sunday.

Moore was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the intersection of Ozark Avenue and Grover Street around 11:15 Saturday morning.

A passenger in Moore's vehicle was also taken to the hospital; police did not comment on the extent of this victim's injuries.

All occupants were wearing their seat belts, police say.
