Woman charged in Wesley Chapel home invasion

UNION COUNTY, N.C. -- Authorities arrested a woman Thursday in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred in a Wesley Chapen neighborhood last week.

Katrina Ann Taylor was arrested at a Waxhaw residence early Thursday morning after deputies received a tip. was found hiding inside the house and was taken into custody, authorities say.

Taylor was wanted in connection to a home robbery with Tyler James Greco that occurred last Thursday. Deputies responded to a call around 1:40 pm last in the Villages neighborhood of Wesley Chapel from a woman who reported that she was asleep in her bedroom and was awakened by a man wearing a mask. Greco allegedly assaulted her and removed items from her home, including firearms. 

Thursday morning Taylor was charged with kidnapping, robbery, assault, breaking and entering amongst other related charged.

The Union County Sheriff's Office previously charged 22-year-old Tyler James Greco with second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun.

According to the victim, the pair fled her residence in her vehicle.  Deputies located the victim’s vehicle abandoned a short distance away.

The victim was able to identify the male suspect as Greco.

Greco also face more charges related to this crime.
