$1mil bond set for Charlotte nightclub murder

A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in a nightclub in North Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police charged Wade Adam Mosley, 27, in connection to a homicide that took place inside a club near NoDa Sunday morning. Mosley appeared in court on Monday where the judge set Mosley's bond at $1 million.

Mosley is scheduled to appear in court again on December 7.

Mosley, was charged with the murder of Gregory Spearman.

CMPD said they were called to Club Lust at 3:27 a.m. Sunday and found Spearman suffering from a gunshot wound. The club is located on the 100 block of Atando Avenue.

Spearman, aged 34, was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Information and evidence gathered during the investigation led detectives to identify Mosley as a suspect.  Warrants for his arrest were obtained and the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team was requested to assist in locating him. On Sunday, the VCAT located and arrested Mosley without incident.

Mosley was transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed by Homicide/ADW Unit Detectives. At the conclusion of the interview, Mosley was transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with Murder.
