NEW YORK (AP) — Rudy Giuliani is back, whether he's planning to run for president, U.S. senate or just misses the spotlight.

And he's talking about the topic that made him a national star: Sept. 11.

Over five days this week, the former New York mayor gave several national TV interviews and a news conference.

It was the kind of blitz usually associated with a book tour or a campaign launch.

He demurs when he's asked about his future. At one point he said he hasn't really focused on it yet.

But this week he established himself as the leading spokesman against the Obama administration's plan to bring 9/11 suspects to New York City for a civilian trial.

Republican consultants say it looks as if Giuliani is seriously considering a return to politics.
