Police: Drugs led to man's 4-story fall from South End balcony

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One person is seriously injured after falling from a balcony of an apartment complex in uptown on Sunday.

Authorities say 21-year-old Brian King was taken to CMC Main with injuries described as life threatening after falling from a balcony at the 1225 South Church apartments.

According to the police report, King was incapacitated by drugs, and was dancing along on a fourth floor balcony before falling.

Charlotte-Mecklenbury Police say they are investigating the incident as a public accident.
