CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two students were injured when two school buses were involved in a minor accident in northeast Charlotte Friday morning.
The Charlotte Fire Department and Medic responded to North McDowell Street near Eastway Drive around 9:15 a.m. after one bus rear ended the other one.

There were eight students on one bus and no students on the other bus during the time of the accident.
One student was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, and the second student was taken to Presbyterian Main with minor injuries, according to a spokesperson from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Both buses were headed to Highland Mill Montessori Elementary School.
