CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- According to the preliminary report released by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, 21 arrests were made in the Uptown during the CIAA tournament weekend.
Between Thursday and Sunday, CMPD estimates approximately 100,000 people visited the Center City for tournament events.
Despite the large number of visitors, CMPD reports no major incidents related to the CIAA event.
A total of 21 arrests were made between 5 p.m. Thursday and 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

- Alcohol Related: 4
- Drug Related: 1
- Forgery: 1
- Larceny: 2
- Trespass: 3
- Resisting: 1
- Assault: 1
- Public Affray (fighting): 6
- Strong Armed Robbery: 2
CMPD worked in conjunction with the Charlotte Fire Department, MEDIC, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office and various other agencies to maintain a safe environment for tournament participants.
