CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Fire Department is changing its colors all for a good cause.
CFD has painted one of its fire trucks pink to promote breast cancer awareness before the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on October 1.
The truck is unofficially named “The Pink Lady” and helps show support for those directly or indirectly affected by the disease.
The Hickory Fire Department did something similar earlier this month by painting one of its trucks pink as well for a separate charity event.
