CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One man is in custody charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say Williard Marion Grier, 34, approached a teller at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 2800 block of Freedom Drive last Wednesday, presented a note demanding cash, then crawled onto the counter and removed money from the teller's cash drawer.

After sifting through evidence, investigators identified Grier as the suspect in the robbery.

Grier is being held in jail under a $100,000 bond.

Anyone with information about the robbery or Grier is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
