CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- For most of us the oddity of 12-12-12 is something that will happen only once in a lifetime. But there were some babies born Wednesday that could see another.
At Charlotte’s Presbyterian hospital, 11 babies had been born by 4 p.m.– including one that was delivered via C-section at 12:12 p.m.
Alyson McGill is a nurse at the hospital who gave birth to her third child, Landen McGil Wednesday afternoon.
NBC Charlotte talked to her as she was heading to the operating room. She says she and her husband just wanted a healthy baby boy, but they were also enjoying the fact that he was coming on such a special day.
“It’s a special day, one he'll always be able to remember. He'll be able to look at for years to come,” she said.
We also met Jessica Henrikson who gave birth to Sally Wednesday morning after, what else, twelve hours in labor.
Jessica said her mother has been counting down, hoping she would have the baby on 12-12-12 since she found out her due date was this week.
“No one is ever going to forget your birthday. You can remind them that 12-12-12 is your birthday!”
