CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- First Baptist Church Charlotte is asking the public to donate supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The church is working in conjunction with New Jersey's Shore Fellowship Church, as they were devastated by the storm.

A tractor trailer will hit the highway on Monday morning, November 12, and is lacking many supplies.

Church officials are asking for donations of medical supplies, including first aid supplies and over-the-counter medication, as well as food and drink. Non-perishable food items like nutrition bars, canned foods, nutritional drinks, bottled water and vitamins are requested.

Please drop these items off at the church Wednesday before 7 p.m., Thursday from 8 to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 8 to 1.
