CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An investigation is underway after a fire at an apartment leasing office in northeast Charlotte. 

The fire started at the towns at university point on Blackhawk Road just before midnight Wednesday.  
 
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told NewsChannel 36 it looked like someone threw something at the office door which sparked the fire.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
