Fire damages vacant home in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Firefighters are trying to figure out what sparked a fire at a vacant house in east Charlotte.

 
The fire started late Sunday night on the second floor in the back of a house on Belmont Avenue.
 
Officials say there was no electricity or gas to the home. They say it's an old house with two apartments.
 
There were no reported injuries.
