GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- A massive fire ripped through a strip mall in Gaston County early Thursday morning.
The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. at the Gunn's Mini Mall on Old York Road near Grier Street.
It took firefighters from nine fire departments four hours to get the fire under control.

Officials said they were able to save the contents of two of the four businesses housed in the strip mall.
Officials have not said what kind of businesses were damaged during the fire.
There were no reported injuries during the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Gaston County Fire Investigations Task Force.
