GASTONIA, N.C. -- The Gastonia Fire Department responded to a building collapse Thursday morning.

Around 9:30 Thursday, Gastonia emergency crews were called out to a warehouse on the Beverly Knits property in the 1600 block of Garfield Drive in Gastonia.

Authorities say heavy snow caused the building to collapse.

The business was closed at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

If you have a flat roof, officials urge that you listen for cracking, popping, or other warning signs of potential collapse.
