HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Some 10 weeks ago now, Emily Joy from Huntersville began her run on the NBC hit “The Biggest Loser.”

Last week's episode featured each of the contestants returning home for a couple weeks to be tempted by the excuses that lead to their weight gain in the first place.

For Emily, that meant facing a trip to Amelies Bakery.

She did good and ordered just the tea while hanging out with her friends.

Joy also spent some time working out with her father, Carl, who used to coach her in junior Olympic power lifting.

She talked about how much she wants him to be proud of her efforts, despite the fact that she can't lift the same heavy amount of weight she use to.  And Joy also talked about wanting to compete in an ironman competition.

Her goal during last week’s episode was to lose 11 pounds in her return home in order to earn immunity for another week.  Overall Emily lost 17 pounds, more than enough to stay on the show another week.

All together she has lost 65 pounds in her time on the ranch.  She now weighs 199 pounds.

There has been a lot of drama on the show, and producers are promising something never seen before on Tuesday’s episode.

You can see “The Biggest Loser” Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on NewsChannel 36.
