CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Expect a big crowd in uptown Wednesday for an international soccer match at Bank of America Stadium as Mexico takes on Iceland.
The match starts at 8 p.m., but a pre-game festival is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. along Mint Street. Organizers expect about 20,000 fans to attend and tailgating could begin as early as 9 a.m.
Nearly 65,000 tickets were sold as of March 12 and it is expected that the game will be a sell out by Wednesday
Traffic is expected to be heavy in uptown Wednesday.
