MATTHEWS, N.C. -- The man charged in a DWI accident that killed a mother and daughter was in court for the first time on Wednesday.

Justin Jones, 28, is charged with two counts of felony death by vehicle, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, DWI and reckless driving.
   
Police say he was driving drunk when he slammed into Marie Cook and Jennifer Hunt's car on Independence Boulevard last week, killing both of them.

Jones' bond hearing was originally set for January 16.
