NEWTON, N.C. -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has arrested three teenagers and one adult in connection with an assault and kidnapping of a 14-year-old boy during a drug deal gone-wrong, officials say.
Dillon Uzzell, 17, Taryn Parrish, 18, Bradley Good 20, and Darren Parrish, 16 are each charged with felony first-degree kidnapping and misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury related to an incident Thursday night in the northern part of Lincoln County.
The Sheriff's Office says the 14-year-old victim and several other teens set up a possible drug buy with the occupants of an SUV on Tripple H Lane.
Officials say one of the teens stole marijuana from the SUV and ran off. Meanwhile, the 14-year-old victim was forced into the SUV where he was burned with a cigarette and assaulted.
The teen was eventually dropped off, where he was then picked up by deputies and returned home. The Sheriff's Office says the teen boy had multiple bumps on his head, a bloody nose and a burn from a cigarette.
The victim was only able to identify one person in the SUV-- Dillon Uzzell.
Taryn, Darren and Bradley were all taken into custody by Friday afternoon after authorities were able to identify the other occupants of the SUV.
All four face felony first-degree kidnapping and misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury.
They were all booked in to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.
