Offender cuts monitoring device, on the run, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking for a man they say cut his electronic monitoring device and is on the run.

Jamarius Sherrill is wanted on warrants for two counts of larceny of an auto, two counts possession of a stolen vehicle, felony conspiracy and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

Police say Sherrill was released from jail on September 25 on a $25,000 bond. The monitoring device was a condition of his bail.

Sherrill was last seen at the transit center on Trade Street.
