CHARLOTTE, NC – Workers at the Panthers team store at Bank of America Stadium say they saw booming sales after the team’s victory Sunday.

“Sunday was the busiest day we've seen by far in a long time,” said Arlethia Hailstock.

The increase in sales came after the Panthers’ home opening win against the New Orleans Saints.

“Fans are happy.  We're happy.  Everyone's happy.  It's always good to get a win, especially when we're at home,” said store manager Shawn Lawson.

According to Lawson, Cam Newton jerseys are the most popular item at the store again this year.  He says the new logo of the team is also pushing more sales.

NewsChannel 36 spotted several shoppers at the store Monday, including former Carolina Panthers player Mike Rucker.  He was shopping for his family, joking about whether he’d get a special discount.

"I don't know.  I haven't gotten to the cash register yet.  I feel like I'm gonna have to spend a lot to get everyone's wish list.  So I might need one," he said.
