CHARLOTTE, N.C -- Thanks to an employee's detailed description Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were able to arrest two men accused of robbing a pizza place last weekend.
Police charged Desmond Houston and Eddie Steele with robbery for their involvement in the armed robbery of Little Caesar on Wilkinson Boulevard last Monday.
Officers responded to 3220 Wilkinson Boulevard in reference to an armed robbery at the Little Caesars.
An employee told police that two black men armed with handguns entered their store and demanded money. After receiving the money, the suspects then fled the scene in a silver Mitsubishi SUV.
A description of the vehicle and suspects was quickly told to officers. Shortly after the robbery officers located the vehicle at the 3000 block of Parkway Avenue and made contact with the two suspects.
Additional information and evidence gathered led officers to placing both Houston and Steele under arrest for the armed robbery.
Houston was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
Steele was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
