CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged a man after a body was disocovered in an east Charlote parking lot Monday night.

Police said they have charged Keith Tyrone Henderson in the death of 35-year-old Eric Lacey Stokes.

Police responded to a medical assistant call Monday night at a parking lot on Snow Lane after a man was found unconscious inside of a vehicle.

Upon  arrival officers located Stokes  inside of the vehicle unresponsive.  He was pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m. 

Henderson, 33, was questioned by detectives and charged with murder. 

Stokes apparently was injured in an altercation in the 6300 block of The Plaza, but police have not said what caused him to die.
