Police: Man killed in west Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in west Charlotte Tuesday night.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Roy Bethea Jr. was shot and killed at a home off of Marlowe Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said a man was shot in home after an altercation happened.

The home has been the target of several drug investigations; detectives believe this case is related to illegal drug activity, according to police.

Police are canvassing the neighborhood to determine whether there are any additional witnesses to this incident.

Police have not identified any suspects in shooting.
