CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Matthews police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men involved in an armed robbery of two Kangaroo Express locations and a CVS Pharmacy in Matthews.
On March 23, two men entered the Kangaroo Express located at 935 Charlottetowne Avenue and robbed the business at gunpoint, police said.
The first suspect was described as between 5-foot-6-inches and 5-foot-9-inches and between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. He was described as having a slim build, and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers, and a black ski mask.
The second suspect was between 5-foot-5-inches and 5-foot-6-inches, medium build and in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a brown ski mask and brown jacket.
On March 25 a man robbed the Kangaroo Express at 8008 Harris Station at gunpoint. The white male suspect described is potentially the same suspect involved in the Kangaroo Express robbery, according to police.
He was described as being between 5-foot-6-inches and 5-foot-9-inches and between the ages of 20 and 30. He also had a slim build and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers and a black ski mask.
On Friday, March 29, the two suspects entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 1305 Matthews Township Parkway armed with pistols. The suspects demanded money and prescription narcotics from the pharmacy and left with those items, police said.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5,000 reward plus an additional $3,000 from the RX-Patrol for a total of up to $8,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of either suspect involved in these robberies.
