MINT HILL, N.C. -- A single-vehicle rollover crash left one person dead Saturday night in Mint Hill, police say.
Just before 9 p.m., Mint Hill Police responded to the intersection of Truelight Church Road and Lawyers Road in reference to a hit and run involving property damage.
Officials spotted the suspect vehicle, a 2001 Chevy truck, had wrecked in the 800 block of Truelight Church Road.
Police say the truck struck a brick mailbox and rolled over, before coming to a rest upright.
The driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, 25-year-old Adam Miles Lepisto, of Concord, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speed was definitely a factor in the crash, and officials say they're still investigating to determine if alcohol was involved.
The Mint Hill Police Department's Traffic Team and CMPD's Major Crash Unit are investigating.
