CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The folks who created a massive QR code told NewsChannel 36 it was the world's largest. And now, according to Guinness, it is.
Hackerspace Charlotte painted the code on the rooftop of Southern Resources in NoDa last fall. Each side is 100 feet long, and you can see it from Google Maps. Now, Guinness World Records has verified the code, and Charlotte City Council will recognize Hackerspace Monday night at its weekly meeting.
A QR code, if you didn't know, is a scannable code that takes you to a website. We've scanned it. Yes, it works.
