SALISBURY, N.C. -- Rowan-Salisbury School officials say they will be on partial lockdown Friday because of rumors about an unfounded threat.

The sheriff's office also said an extra deputy will be at every school. Authorities don't think there are any credible threats.

The school district said as a precautionary measure, all schools will be following code yellow lockdown procedures on Friday due to unfounded rumors.

Code Yellow means that all doors are locked and there are no outside activities.
