ROCK HILL, S.C. -- The main post office in Rock Hill was briefly closed Wednesday morning while officials checked out a suspicious package.
A postal employee noticed the suspicious package on a table in the main lobby of the post office at the corner of Black and Wilson Streets around 6:45 Wednesday morning.
Rock Hill Police secured the scene while the bomb squad x-rayed the package, then opened it with a mobile robot.
The package contained a large book, police say, and the contents were turned over to the U.S. Postal Service Inspectors for further investigation.
The Rock Hill Post Office was opened back up for business by 8:45.
