CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Part of Interstate 85 was shut down after a bad accident involving a tractor-trailer Sunday night.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said shortly after 11 p.m., a tractor-trailer slammed into an SUV that was sitting in the center lane of I-85 south with no lights on.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK. She faces a number of charges -- including DWI.
The driver of the tractor-trailer wasn't hurt.
