CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A water main break blocked part of a road near uptown on Friday.
Crews closed the 1400 block of Queens Road West due to a water main break early Friday morning. Crews worked to repair an eight inch main break near the road, and full traffic was expected to begin flowing again at 5 p.m.

Officials said the overall road damage from the break will likely take several days to repair.
Crews opened one lane of Queens Road West in both directions around 8:30 a.m.
