CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Four people were in the hospital Tuesday after a multi-car wreck on Interstate 485 near Rea Road.
The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene and took one person with life-threatening injuries to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte via helicopter.
Three more people were taken by ambulance to Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash scene had been cleared by 6:30 p.m.
