BALLYNTINE, N.C. -- Its national Protect Your Identity week.
Shredding old documents is a good way to make sure your important information doesn't get into the wrong hands.
There's a free shredding event this Saturday in Charlotte. You can bring up to four bags or boxes of documents per car to one of two locations from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Shredders will be set up at the JM Robinson Middle School parking lot on the Ballantyne Commons Parkway and also at the Shred-It parking lot on Axar Street.
