CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 26-year-old woman is without her engagement ring after someone took off with her purse Tuesday night.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report, a thief stole the woman’s purse at Cosmo’s Café on Rea Road sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. early Wednesday morning.
The woman told police she left her purse sitting on a chair while at the business, and the thief took the engagement ring valued at $13,000 as well as $40 cash from an inside zipper pouch on the purse.
Police have no suspects at this time.
