CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- For the third time this week, a bank was robbed in the Charlotte area, with the most recent coming Thursday afternoon in Myers Park.
The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. at the First Citizens Bank about one block north of Queens Road and the Myers Park Public Library.
It's unclear if anyone was hurt.
The First Citizens Bank robbery comes 24 hours after the BB&T was robbed in southwest Charlotte.
A Wells Fargo bank in the northeast part of the city near UNC Charlotte was robbed on Tuesday afternoon as well. Police arrested a man in connection to that robbery Thursday morning.
The FBI described the suspect in Thursday's robbery as a white man between 5'7'' and 5'10'' with a stocky build. The robber was wearing dark pants with a gray hooded sweatshirt and also wore blue latex or surgical gloves.
