CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Myers Park Baptist Church is going green.
Twenty solar panels on top of the Cornwell Center at the church are now helping to provide electricity.
A group of church members called Earth Keepers were behind the project.
Our partners at The Charlotte Observer report it cost $37,000 to install the panels.
But that was covered by a grant from the state energy office, Earth Keepers and other church donors. All the panels were made in the United States.
