CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police say a shootout between two men in southeast Charlotte late Sunday night left one of them seriously injured.
It happened around 10:40 p.m. near an apartment complex on Lomax Avenue near North Sharon Amity Road.
Officers tell NewsChannel 36 that when they arrived at the scene, they found a man lying in front of a running car with two gunshot wounds that appeared to be life-threatening. He was transported to a hospital. His condition has not been released.
Investigators say they know who the other shooter is but have not caught him yet. The vehicle he was in is described as a tan or light-colored Honda or Acura.
