CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A downed power line caused major headaches for drivers and homeowners alike Tuesday morning near Dilworth.

A tree fell on the power line, which started a fire around 5 a.m. and closed traffic on Park Road near Hillside Avenue.

Duke Energy temporarily shut off power in the area to fix the power line. 

Power was restored around 2 p.m., the company said.
